Paramount is hitting the delay button on several of their projects going forward including Mission: Impossible 8. Yes, you read that right, the film is also not being labeled as Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two anymore. The delays are due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike and the greed that movie studios are showing with not paying actors a fair share of their record profits. The movie moves from June 2024 to May 23rd, 2025. In addition, A Quiet Place: Day One and an untitled Spongebob Squarepants animated movie have also been delayed.

A Quiet Place: Day One is taking over the slot that Mission: Impossible left on June 28th, 2024. Spongebob Squarepants: The Search For Squarepants is moving to December 19th, 2025.

We’ll keep you updated on this as it progresses.
