During today’s COVID-19 briefing in California, the decision was made to allow Disneyland and other theme parks to re-open at 25% capacity. California Health and Human Services Secretary, Dr. Mark Ghaly made the update during the briefing.

In addition to Disneyland, any other park meeting requirements for guidance on protocols can re-open as well. If you want to make a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth, you’ll have to reserve a spot of the 25% each day. Face masks will be mandatory unless eating or drinking.

These guidances and classifications are all under the pretense that Orange County gets under a certain threshold for COVID-19 cases. Right now they are in the red tier.

If they can get down into the yellow tier, then larger parks like Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm can re-open. It’s exciting news that these parks might finally be able to re-open. But on the other hand, theme parks are much harder to keep protocols in check. In any case, we’ll keep you updated on the news regarding Disneyland’s re-opening. You can watch the full briefing below.
