2022 has been the year of Freddy’s Nightmares apparently! The series showed up after being dormant on ScreamBox earlier this year, with some visual improvements and in HD! Now, for those in the US, the series is available on Tubi for free. Both seasons of the anthology-style series based around A Nightmare on Elm Street and Freddy Krueger are on the free streaming service. It’s a big win for fans of the series who just want to watch the episodes. It was previously shown on the now-defunct El Rey Network and only available through bootlegs and other nefarious means.
The series first aired in October of 1988 in syndication and has 44 episodes. Freddy Krueger took the role of Rod Serling for the show and even appears as part of several episodes including the prequel episode for the first movie. The series gave a good start to plenty of stars like Brad Pitt, Kyle Chandler, and Mariska Hargitay.
